Spring awakening on the Sihl: enjoyment meets excursion enthusiasm

When nature around the Sihlsteg comes alive, the Sihl valley shows its most beautiful side. The combination of fresh greenery, the gentle murmur of the Sihl and the first warm rays of sun makes our location in Langnau am Albis the ideal starting point for explorations.

Pure nature on your doorstep

The classic Sihl riverside path right next to our restaurant is perfect for a relaxed stroll or a longer hike. With no major climbs, the trail runs along the river through shady woods and wide meadows. Cyclists can use the well-developed Sihltal Route (No. 94). The route offers flat sections for the whole family and combines urban proximity with unspoilt natural scenery.

A highlight for young and old

Just a stone's throw from the Sihlsteg is the Zürich Wilderness Park Langenberg. Spring is a particularly good time to visit, when you can spot the first young animals among the ibex, deer or wild boar. The park is the oldest wildlife enclosure in Switzerland and offers exciting insights into our native wildlife along its extensive trails – and admission to the animal park is free.

Pit stop at the Sihlsteg

Whether after a bike tour, a visit to the animal park or a leisurely walk, we invite you to round off your springtime mood with culinary delights. On our sunny terrace, nestled in the fresh greenery of the Spinnerei Langnau, you can take a deep breath with a glass of chilled rosé.

In keeping with the season, our spring menu features highlights such as the classic Brassato ravioli. And for a little afternoon snack we're ready too: from our snack menu you can order treats like a roasted marrow bone, crisp salads or our legendary Sihlsteg Chnusper Fries.

We look forward to your visit!
